Osukalns Ltd. started its business as a forest management company in 1993. Since then we have introduced the latest technologies. Specialists have mastered economical and effective ways of forest management thus reducing the prime costs.

The company procures more than 100 000 cubic meters round timber per year, about 35 000 cubic meters from private forests, the other amount in auctions from the state share company Latvijas Valsts Mezi. Part of the round timber is being processed in the company’s sawmills; part of it is being exported.

The branch of the company is managed by experienced and highly qualified specialists. They all have professional degrees and they improve their knowledge regularly. The company does the forest exploitation in the territory of all Latvia; it has specialized also in the forest growing and cultivation.
